چکیده
We present a theoretical framework for new structural metamaterials we refer to as liquid structures: topology of bistable mechanisms made up high number cells that are sub-mechanisms composed pseudo-rigid links and joints. The name structures comes from the similarities they with kinematics constant flow incompressible fluids inspired by in limited domain. layout obtained through two-step process where: (i) node displacements computed means Computational Fluid Dynamics tool feeding (ii) kinematic synthesis each cell is subsequently performed. report two illustrative examples where star- diamond-type employed. paper concludes detailed discussion about future manufacturing challenges arising this metamaterial paradigm.

High performance parallel computing for Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
The supersonic aerodynamic coefficient of a sphere that represents a broken piece of structure under explosion was obtained by using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).The computer that was used in this study was self-made cluster type parallel machine and available maximum number of CPU was 128. The CFD software named CFD++ was used in this study. CFD++ is general purpose CFD software to solve...
متن کاملImplementing Cfd (computational Fluid Dynamics) in Opencl for Building Simulation
Though researchers in computer graphics have started to use the GPGPU (General Purposed Graphics Processing Unit) method to speed up their procedural programs, these techniques are seldom used in the building simulation field. It is possible to apply the GPGPU method to many simulation scenarios (i.e. human evacuation, shadow simulation) to speed up performance. In this paper, CFD is used as an...
متن کاملCombined application of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and design of experiments (DOE) to hydrodynamic simulation of a coal classifier
Combining the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and the design of experiments (DOE) methods, as a mixed approach in modeling was proposed so that to simultaneously benefit from the advantages of both modeling methods. The presented method was validated using a coal hydraulic classifier in an industrial scale. Effects of operating parameters including feed flow rate, solid content and baffle le...
